River Blyth Photos.

These photos were taken along the riverside at Blyth and North Blyth in August 2004.

A closer view of the same ship - in the far distance,
the outline of the Cheviot Hills is just visible.

Seen from across the river, the base of the old coal staithes still remains in the
foreground of this picture. At one time ships would be moored here to be loaded
with coal from trains up above.

A closer view with the Golden Fleece Pub (now demolished) at the rear end of the ship.

Looking across the River Blyth, on the site of these wind turbines used to be the
Seven Stars Pub and a row of houses.

Looking downstream, the wind turbines dominate the view along the North Pier.
The North Pier was popular for fishing, but access is no longer available to the public.
