Photos of Northumberland Railways - Linton.These photos were taken at at Linton which many years had a colliery and railway connecting to Ellington. This line used to form a loop from Ashington to the main East Coast Line but has been disconnected at the junction beside ashington Signal Box. It is now used to transport coal from Potland Burn opencast mine. The photos may take a while to load depending on your connection speed.

View north along the mineral line from Ashington to Linton. Currently used for carrying coal from the nearby opencast site, the branch onto this line at Ashington is disconnected.

Currently back in use.
