those we have photographed to date. Holy Sepulchre, Station Road. This Church opened in 1887 - it was partly funded by the Ashington Coal Company and the Duke of Portland. This striking new Church greets visitors to Ashington approaching up the bank from Stakeford. It is located at the junction of the road into Jubilee Industrial Estate overlooking the River Wansbeck. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. St. Johns Church, Newbiggin Road. St. Johns Church in Seaton Hirst, Ashington was consecrated in 1896 and was enlarged in 1905. A further chapel was added in 1945.
