St. Aidans Church, Bamburgh, Northumberland.

St. Aidans Church, Bamburgh was consecrated in the 13th century.

The origins of this church date back much earlier when St. Aidan came to Lindisfarne but the church was built in the 13th century.

The chancel is said to be the second longest in the country.

Local heroin Grace Darling famous for her daring rescue of shipwrecked sailors near the Farne Isles is buried here and a memorial stands in the churchyard and in the church.
