St. John the Baptist Church, Ulgham, Northumberland.

St. John the Baptist Church stands on the corner as you approach the village from the north.

The present church built on a Norman site dates from the mid-1840's. A carved window head was built into the north aisle and has been dated as Anglo-Norman, about 1100.

The church originally a chapelry was attached to Morpeth, but due to mining in the area making it self-financing was separated in 1875.
