Just found your web site via the Northumbrian FANTASTIC. I born and bred at Stakeford where I lived till I was 21 in the most beautiful county in the UK . Worked for The West Cumberland Farmers based in Morpeth and travelled all over the county delivering to farms so most of the photos bring back happy memories. Still visit at least 6 times a year and try to travel to places your photos show.

Just discovered that my great grandfather JOHN OLIVER may have been born in Harbottle in 1787---what a wonderful heritage! Are there any OLIVERS still out there?

I was delighted to see your photo of Boulmer lifeboat station, as I have been operating the "CLARISSA LANGDON" a liverpoole class ex R.N.L.I lifeboat which was stationed at Boulmer 1937-1950.She is still in sound seagoing condition, I would like to here any stories about her time at Boulmer ,so I can add them to her history file which is kept onboard,

As an exile from Northumberland, I truly enjoyed your web site. The pictures are very well done, so much so, that they have made me very home sick. I'll be going home for about a week this coming June and will hopefully visit some of my old haunts shown on this fabulous web site. Keep up the good work, this web site is a great joy for us exiles.
