Alnmouth, Northumberland. Alnmouth is a village located at the mouth of the River Aln on the Northumberland Coast. The village was an important port until a huge storm in the early 1800's changed the flow of the River Aln and cut off the towns old church (the location of the church is marked by a large wooden crossvisible across the river). Today the estuary is used by pleasure craftsand small fishing boats and is only accessible around high tide to those with good knowledge of the waters. Alnmouth is now a popular destination for tourists and day-trippers with its excellent beach, a golf course and a number of pubs / hotels. Views on this page include the Village, River Aln, Golf Course and Beach. * The photos may take a while to load depending on your connection speed.
