Photos of Edlingham CastleEdlingham Castle Dates from the 12th century when it was a house and was subsequently expanded and fortified into a castle. The castle was abandoned in the 17th century and theft of stone for the building of local houses took place over the next three hundred years. The remains were excavated and made safe for visitors in the late nineteen seventies. The castle remains are open to visitors all year round.
