Beadnell Harbour.
Beadnell's small harbour is the only harbour on the
East Coast of England whose entrance faces west.
Today it is used by a few small fishing boats, but
the lime kilns seen in the first picture below, are a clue to previous
trade in the 18th century.
Grain was also transported from Beadnell and the harbour
was also used by Smugglers in the 18th century.
